I had the pleasure of documenting The Raveonettes as they brought the Avalon Stage at Roskilde Festival 2025 to a close on Saturday night. The light design was breathtaking - layers of smoke and bursts of strobe perfectly intertwined with the band’s raw, nostalgic sound. It was one of those moments where chaos and beauty meet - a dream and a challenge for any concert photographer.
The entire series was captured on my two Sony A7R V cameras with G Master lenses, complemented by a few frames from the Sony A9 III paired with the 85mm f/1.4 - creating a soft, cinematic texture and beautifully shallow depth of field.
A huge thanks to everyone who made this possible - and especially to Sharin Foo and Sune Rose Wagner for letting me capture this unforgettable night on stage.
If you haven’t experienced The Raveonettes live, you absolutely should.
This photo series is my attempt to translate their sound into visuals. Lean back, turn up the volume, and scroll through - preferably on a big screen - with The Raveonettes echoing through your speakers.
One last shake-off before stepping on stage.
Thanks for watching.
Hope you liked it - and maybe felt a bit of that Raveonettes energy too.
