MØ played Friday night in the legendary Arena tent at Roskilde Festival 2025. Ahead of the show, she had just released her new album “Plæygirl,” so I was really looking forward to feeling those new tracks live on stage. I truly love the punky-pop vibe in MØ’s music and live performances, so this was a concert I had been especially excited for. The last time I had the honor of documenting her live on stage was back in 2019 on the Orange Stage - so I was more than ready to finally capture one of her shows again.
For this show, I was shooting alongside other press photographers. We were allowed to photograph the first three songs (which is the standard when shooting concerts), but this time, we also got access to shoot the last three songs. In between, I went into the crowd to enjoy the show and take a few shots from the back.
The photo pit at Arena is divided into two small platforms on each side, where photographers stand closely together and rotate around to get some variation in their shots. It can be a bit frustrating when something interesting happens on the opposite side of where you’re standing. However, MØ is such a professional and dynamic performer - a true vildchild - so she made sure to bring the energy to both sides of the stage, giving us plenty of great MØments and photo opportunities during those two sets of three songs.
I tried to capture that “vildchild” energy using my Sony cameras (A7R V and A9 III) paired with G Master lenses.
Lean back and enjoy the gallery - preferably on a big screen - while MØ plays through your speakers.
Thanks for taking the time to watch my gallery.
I hope you could feel the MØ-energy kicking through the photos.

Until next time!
